Adam Plšek
Adam Plšek was born on January 1, 1999. When he was five he began to attend Vítězslava Kaprálová’s Elemetary School of Art and started learning to play the accordion in Jana Sapáková’s class. In 2006 he took up the recorder and in 2010 began to study the bassoon with Pavel Feldmann, who he is still studying with. This instrument is simply what suits him best and his greatest achievements are in this field:

He has performed at many concerts with the piano. The most significant one was his solo performance within a project called “Mozart’s Children” with the Brno Philharmonic /2012/ and with the Young Symphony Players of Brno, where they played the second movement, Adagio, from Jiří Pauer’s Concerto for Bassoon and Orchestra.
Adam Plšek is a student of Episcopal Grammar School in Brno and besides music he does competitive swimming and has won many prizes in this sport, too.
Matouš Kopáček
Matouš Kopáček comes from a musical family. His great-grandfather, František Pošta, was a solo bassist in the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra and a famous virtuoso. One of his grandfathers, Jaroslav Kopáček, played the clarinet in the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra as well.
Matouš has been playing the clarinet under the tutelage of his father, solo clarinettist of the Czech Philharmonic Orchestra, Tomáš Kopáček, since he was nine. After playing it for only half a year he won the Czech national competition of schools of art. In 2011 he won the first prize for clarinet players and the overall second prize at the PRO BOHEMIA interpretation competition. When he was thirteen he participated in the international clarinet competition CONCORSO INTERNAZIONALE DI ESECUTIONE MUSICALE PER CLARINETTO-GIACOMO MENSI in Italy (2011), where he was awarded the third prize in the under-fifteen category. At that time he became a member of the EUROPERA international symphony orchestra, with which he has performed as a soloist in Germany, Poland, and France. In 2012 he won the Czech national competition of schools of art and became its overall winner in the woodwinds category. A year later he was awarded the second prize in the international competition CZECH CLARINET ART and the second prize in the PRO BOHEMIA competition. He became the overall winner of the CONCERTINO PRAGA 2014 international competition. He has also won HELENA KARÁSKOVÁ Award for the best rendition of a compulsory composition. His hobby is also jazz music. As a saxophone player he has won the first prize in a national competition with a jazz trio.
Adam Riethof
Adam Riethof was born in Prague on May 2, 1999. He has been playing music since he was six years old. At that time he began to play the recorder. He has been playing the clarinet since he was nine. His first clarinet teacher was Martin Kasa at Štefánikova Elementary School of Art. Since 2010 he has been studying at Prague Grammar School and Music School in Professor Jan Hejhal’s class. Adam has participated in the following international competitions: Pro Bohemia in Ostrava (2011), “Giacomo Mensi” in Bren, Italy (2011), and Czech Clarinet Art in Hořice (2013), where he won an honourable mention. Besides classical music he is an avid listener and player of jazz, playing in a school ensemble called Big Band Plus. In his free time he enjoys doing sports or improvising on electric bass and piano.
Vilém Hofbauer
My name is Vilém Hofbauer and I was born in Jihlava on April 2, 1999. My parents work as elementary art school teachers. I have an older brother, who also plays music.
In 2005 I began to attend elementary school in Třešť, which is where I live. At the same time I started learning to play the piano at the elementary school of art in Jihlava. I have been playing music since I was very young due to my parents‘ jobs and my great role model is my brother Walter.
When I was seven I also began to play the trumpet. After almost a year I participated in the Fourth International Interpretation Competition of Brass Instruments Players organized by Brno Conservatory in 2007. I won the third prize in the Junior category, being the youngest participant at the age of eight.
In 2009 there was a competition of elementary schools of art, where I won the first prize for trumpet playing and was nominated for the winners’ concert.
In the same year I participated in the Seventh International Interpretation Competition of Brass Instruments Players in Brno. I won the first prize and the title of the overall winner in the trumpet category.
In 2010 I advanced to the main round with the Jihlava School of Arts Brass Quintet, playing lead trumpet. Our ensemble, led by my father, won the first prize and became the overall winner as well and was nominated for the winners’ concert. I also got the jury’s prize for the best brass instrument player.
In 2011 I participated in the Eighth International Interpretation Competition of Brass Instruments Players in Brno, where I won the first prize in the trumpet category and became the overall winner across all categories.
Along with my brother Walter I made a recording in Czech Radio’s studio for the 46th annual Concertino Praga Competition in chamber playing, for which we received the second prize.
In 2012 I advanced to the main round of the School of Arts Competition for wind instruments, in which I won the first prize and became the “Overall Winner of the Whole Competition”.
In 2013 I advanced to the main round with the Jihlava School of Arts Brass Quintet. Our ensemble, led by my father, won the first prize again and became the overall winner as well. I was also awarded the jury’s “Special Prize for the Most Remarkable Interpretation Performance”. A month later I participated in the International Interpretation Competition of Brass Instruments Players in Brno for the fourth time and I won the first prize and became the overall winner.
Last year I was, among other things, invited to be a guest soloist of the Czech Chamber Philharmonic Orchestra Pardubice. Playing with a symphony orchestra was a great and very pleasant experience for me. Based on these achievements, our region’s governor granted me a scholarship in 2012 and 2013 as well as the “Talent of the Vysočina Region” award.
In my musical development I have been assisted especially by my father, who has been teaching me from the very beginning, and by Professor Jiří Jaroněk, who I have been consulting regularly since 2006.
Tsankova Mila
Mila Tsankova was born in Sofia in 1998. Both her parents are architects. Music has always occupied an important place in the life of the family. Mila started playing the piano when she was eight years old but soon fell in love with the gentle and exquisite sound of the flute. She made rapid progress and, in 2009, was admitted to the National Music School in Sofia, to the flute class of Yavor Zhelev. In 2012 she took second place at the Svetoslav Obretenov XXIII National Competition for Young Instrumentalists and Singers in the city of Provadia. Mila’s favourite and exciting occupation is to perform in an orchestra. She has also taken her first steps in composing music.
In 2013 she was awarded Third Prize at the Professor Kamen Popdimitrov National Solfeggio Contest.
Seraphin Maurice Lutz
Seraphin Maurice Lutz (born 1998 in Bamberg) plays the clarinet and the piano from the age of four years. First ten years he was taught to play the clarinet by his father, Adriana Grossmann was his piano teacher until 2008. Since 2009, Seraphin was taught by Professor Gabriela Rosenberg in the field of piano in musical high school in Nuremberg. Since 2012, Seraphin is studying clarinet with Professor Ulf Rodenhäusera in musical high school in Munich.
In the field of clarinet Seraphin has won several awards since 2008 both in Germany and on international scale too, for example, in 2008 he won first prize in the "First International Competition for Young Instrumentalists" in Markneukirchen (clarinet), first prize in the international competition "Glass Harp" (clarinet) and first prize in German-wide contest "Youth plays" in Stuttgart (2012, clarinet). He also played at the concert of prize winners, which was recorded by Bavarian Radio. Another first prize for clarinet followed in 2013, German-wide contest "Youth plays" in Fürth.
"German Foundation Musical Life" (Deutsche Stiftung Musikleben) awarded Seraphin a special prize for his outstanding performance. He was also awarded several special prizes by publisher Baerenreiter.
Between 2008 and 2010 he won the prize in the "Munich piano podium" and among other prizes, a special award for "Beautiful piano tone". In 2010, he was awarded the "Audience award". It was followed by a prize associated with financial subsidies and special prize for "Best performance of the piece from 20th Century" in a little competition of Robert Schumann in Zwickau and second prize in the International Piano Competition "In honor of Robert Schumann" in Zwickau.
In 2011, he was awarded second prize in German wide contest "Youth plays" in Neustrelitz.
Furthermore, Seraphin has performed several times as a soloist with orchestras Hofer Symphoniker and Collegium Musicum in Nuremberg.
László Kunkli
My name is László Kunkli and I was born in Debrecen, on 10th January 1997. At present I live, with my parents and brother, in Balmazújváros, a small town of Hajdú-Bihar County in Hungary. I started my musical studies here, in September 2005, specialized in trumpet, and my teacher was Professor Gyula Bekker. From 2009, I have been a member of the Bekton Youth Wind Band in Balmazújváros. I could participate in several international orchestral competitions with my Band, abroad and also in Hungary, where we mostly won the first prize. In 2009, I was awarded the first prize, in my age group, at the Regional Instrumental Competition organized by the Art School of Balmazújváros. After having finished the primary school with excellent result, I continued my studies at Leo Weiner Music School of Budapest, where I’m presently the pupil of András Kis. In 2012, I was a first prize winner at the 11th National Trumpet and Percussion Instrument Competition. In 2013, I won the Special Prize at the International Competition organized in the town of Brno. Later, in May 2013, I was the soloist of J.B.G. Neruda’s Trumpet Concerto, accompanied by the Budapest String Orchestra.
Dóra Kovács
My name is Anna Dóra Kovács. I was born on 5th December 1998, in Miskolc. My mother’s name is Ildikó Orbán, and my father is József Kovács. I have two elder sisters and live in Miskolc.
I began to study music and playing the flute in 2005, at Fazekas Primary and Art School. My flute teacher was Mrs. Schultz.
I have been a member of the Symphony Orchestra of Béni Egressy Music School since 2011. We were in France several times and gave concerts with great success.
At present, I study at Béla Bartók Secondary Vocational School of Music in Budapest. I’m attending the 9th class, my teacher is flute artist Zsolt Romos.
In my spare time, I like reading and playing chess (I’m a certified chess player in Miskolc). I love travelling and visiting new places.

Maria Filippova
Maria Filippova was born on the 3rd October 1999 in Nizhniy Novgorod. She began to study music at the age of six, playing block flute and then transverse flute at music school with Elena Zhelikhovskaya. Maria is a New Names Charity Foundation’s scholarship holder and is active in the New Names Festivals from 2008. She also was a holder of Nizhniy Novgorod personal scholarship for artistic achievements in 2010 and Pushkin scholarship for talented children in culture in 2010 – 2012. She often performed in concerts as a soloist with the Academic Symphony Orchestra of Nizhniy Novgorod Philharmonic Society, Nizhniy Novgorod Soloists chamber orchestra and the Chamber Orchestra of Tuapse. In 2009 Maria won the Gran Prix of the “My Favourite Flute” Internet competition of young musicians, a year later she became a laureate of the 4th Russian-French festival-competition of ensemble playing “Concertino” (Nizhniy Novgorod). In 2011 she became a winner of the International Internet competition “Magic flutes” in Bad Ems (Germany) and won the Grand Prix of the 6th Regional Competition for wind and percussion instruments players “Sounds of Hope” (Nizhniy Novgorod) in 2012. Having got a number of diplomas of Moscow festivals in 2012, she became an absolute winner in the flute category of the 4th International Internet competition in Belgrade (Serbia) in 2013. Maria is fond of sports, she likes swimming and plays tennis. She also likes theatre, literature and studies a number of foreign languages.
Ekaterina Voroshilova
Ekaterina Voroshilova was born on the 23rd May 1997 in Novosibirsk. She began to study piano at the Novosibirsk Special Music School (College) in 2005, and in 2008 she started playing oboe with Elena Makarova.
Ekaterina often performs in her school wind and percussion concerts. She is a concertmaster of the oboe group of the Novosibirsk youth symphony orchestra. She performed in concerts as a soloist with the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the Novosibirsk Philharmonic Society and the Kuzbass Governor Symphony Orchestra. Since 2012 she works as a guest orchestra musician at the Novosibirsk Opera and Ballet Theatre and the Musical Comedy Theatre.
Ekaterina won the First Prizes of the 5th Siberian Competition for Wind and Percussion Instruments (Novosibirsk, 2009), the 20th Russian Competition for Wind and Percussion Instruments “The Urals Fanfares” (Magnitogorsk, 2010) and the 4th Russian Competition-Festival of Young Wind and Percussion Performers “Siberian Music Assemblies” (Novosibirsk, 2011). In 2012 she won the Grand Prix of the 1st Regional Competition of Wind Instruments Performers “Fanfares of Siberia” (Karasuk) and became a winner of the “Young Talents of Russia” Competition (Moscow).
Since 2010 Ekaterina holds a scholarship of the Governor of Novosibirsk Region.
Luka Mitev
Lukal Mitev was born in Postojna, Slovenia, 16.12.1997. After he finished grammar school, he applied in Conservatorium for music and ballet in Ljubljana, where he studies bassoon at Zoran Mitev. Since grammar school he is attending national and international competitions, where he achieves very good results: first prize at competition in Požarevac in Serbia(2006, 2010), golden prize and first prize at the TEMSIG competition(2010, 2013), first prize and laureate at competition in Beograd in Serbia, ‘’Davorin Jenko’’ (2007, 2010 and 2013), first prize at competition OFF in Krško (SLO), finalist at the EMONA competition (2012)
He is a member of wind orchestra and Cantabile symphonic orchestra in Logatec, SLO. He attended master classes at well-known professors such as: Michael Tavernaro, Bence Boganyi, Robert Gillinger, Gustavo Nuniez, Giorgi Mandolesi etc.
