Introducing the 2026 competition!

5. červen 2025

The Concertino Praga international music competition is accepting entries for the 2026 competition which will be held in a single category, which young musicians can enter with the following instruments: piano, violin, viola, violoncello, harp and accordion.

Musicians playing the piano and the violin may enter the competition if they are still under 16 years of age during the competition’s final evening, while participants playing the other instruments must be under 17 as of the evening of the final.

Wind instruments will return in 2027

Concertino Praga has followed the following model since 2025: one year of the competition consists of the keyboard and string instrument categories, while the next year of the competition is held in two categories, i.e. string instruments and wind instruments separately. This cycle will continue regularly.

As such, the competition will be opened for these two categories in 2027:

1) piano, violin, viola, violoncello, harp and accordion

2) flute, oboe, clarinet, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, French horn and trombone

Why should you enter?

Concertino Praga is not looking for ready-made stars, but for young musicians with open potential. The competition has been structured in a way that will help the participants grow – it offers professional feedback, specific opportunities for personal development and entry into the world of actual concert stages. The competition ensures a high expert level for its juries and emphasises an individual approach.
