Levente Bubreg
The semifinal of Concertino Praga 2024 will feature Levente Bubreg, a talented basoon player from Austria.
Levente Bubreg was born in Austria in 2008, into an Austro-Hungarian musical family, and he started playing the bassoon at the age of eight. He has been attending Daniel Muleri’s class at the Tyrol State Conservatory since 2018. His solo debut took place at the age of eleven with the StringSZ Orchestra in Silber Hall. Two years later, he received a Rotary Music Promotion Award. In 2023, he was declared the absolute winner of his category at the prestigious Premio Crescendo competition in Italy, where he also won two special prizes. He also received the exceptional Tyrolean Classic Instrumentalist Prize in the same year. Levente has been the national winner and special prize winner at the Prima la Musica competition in the solo and chamber music categories several times. In addition to this, he also received the Ignaz Pleyel Prize at the ISA International Summer Academy in 2022 and 2023. This summer, he will join the VFJO orchestra at a festival in Verbier, Switzerland.
