Elen Virabyan
Elen Virabyan was born in 2010 into a musical family.
She began playing the flute at the age of seven when she entered the class of Zara Parvanyan at the Gnessin Music School. The flute soon became an essential part of her life and, through participation in international competitions and festivals, a vibrant and fascinating one as well. During her studies, she won numerous first prizes, including two victories at the Dutch Flute Competition, as well as awards at the Tampere Flute Competition in Finland and the International Young Talents Competition in Armenia. As the winner of the national selection, Elen had the honor of representing Armenia at the 2026 Eurovision Young Musicians final. Encounters and studies with world-renowned flutists such as Felix Renggli, Andrea Lieberknecht, Mario Caroli, Vincent Lucas, Ulla Miilmann, and many others have strongly inspired her and provided great motivation for further study. In addition to the flute, she also enjoys playing the duduk, an ancient Armenian instrument with a history stretching back thousands of years. She is a co-founder of the Yerevan International Flute Festival.
