Concertino Praga Celebrates 60 Years. Join us in Celebrating Six Decades of Musical Talent
The Concertino Praga International Radio Competition will celebrate its anniversary on Sunday, 18 October 2026, with two festive concerts in Prague.
Festive Matinée at HAMU
The celebrations will begin at 12.00 noon in the Bohuslav Martinů Hall at HAMU with a chamber music matinée featuring Concertino Praga laureates from the past decade.
The programme will also include the opening of an exhibition dedicated to the competition’s 60-year history. Visitors will have the opportunity to look back at its most important moments and personalities, as well as the journeys of young musicians whom Concertino Praga helped at the beginning of their artistic careers. The matinée will conclude with an informal gathering of laureates, guests and friends of the competition over a glass of wine.

Gala Concert at the Rudolfinum
The anniversary celebrations will culminate at 7.30 pm in the Dvořák Hall of the Rudolfinum with a festive gala concert. Outstanding laureates representing several generations of Concertino Praga will come together on one stage: violinists Dmitry Sitkovetsky, Václav Hudeček and Daniel Matejča, horn player Radek Baborák, pianist Jan Čmejla and trumpeter Filippo Lombardi.
Together with the Prague Radio Symphony Orchestra, conducted by Robert Kružík, they will perform works by Johann Sebastian Bach, Dmitri Shostakovich, Reinhold Glière and Camille Saint-Saëns.
