Xuyao Bai
Alex Xuyao Bai began his musical journey at the age of five and currently studies piano under the expert guidance of Florian Koltun and Xin Wang.
His achievements include earning the Trinity LTCL diploma with distinction at the age of eleven, becoming the youngest winner of the National Piano Competition at fourteen, and winning second prize at the Kronberg International Piano Competition in 2025. Alex has collaborated with prestigious orchestras in New Zealand, including the New Zealand Symphony Orchestra and Auckland Philharmonia. His musical journeys have taken him to renowned stages around the world. He has appeared as a soloist at the Great Hall of Auckland Town Hall and at the Chinese Spring Festival Gala, and has given solo recitals in Aachen, Bad Münstereifel, and Eschweiler, where local media praised the emotional depth and expressiveness of his performances. Beyond his solo achievements, Alex finds joy in chamber music and community engagement. A multi-instrumentalist, he also plays clarinet and violin in school ensembles.
